Spring is an excellent time to visit. It's not as busy here then.

I'm going to be travelling for the next month or so, but if you want to visit afterwards, I could definitely take you down to the reef. And show you some of my favourite areas of it.

Then how does April sound? I think Shimizu will be all ready by that time too.

As long as you don't mind it being in the latter half of the month. There is a reasonable chance my trip will run a bit into April. Though I really hope to be back by Jean's birthday.

I think so. Though I'm not sure if that is something who will end up organising it. Still, it's going to be his eighteenth birthday, so we really ought to throw a proper party for it.

I will. I'll have to think of something to get him too. There won't be a lot of opportunities for shopping on Mt. Silver

Yeah... Jean's a tough sell. I had a hard time finding him a present at Christmas. Do you know if he has any hobbies?

Well, I don't think FCAB counts as a hobby exactly, but he does spend a lot of time on that and anything coffee related. Oh, and he does enjoy reading, especially Stephen Kingler novels. Though I am not really sure at this point which of his books he does and doesn't have. He likes gardening. He had a bit of a garden back on the islands, but there isn't much chance to do that while he is travelling around. I know he can sketch and draw too, but I'm not sure if he's done a lot of that recently.

I was thinking... perhaps I should give him a pokemon for his birthday. Mt Silver and Victory Road are supposed to be home to many rare and powerful pokemon. But I also don't want to impose on him.

I don't think Jean would find it an imposition. He has a lot of Pokemon, right? I don't know what his theme is though, aside from all his Voltorb and Electrode.

I don't know if he has a theme, per se. He has several ghosts. And his Voltorbs, of course. But he also has pokemon like Klefki and Meowth.

I don't think there will be a lot of ghosts where I am going, though.

He likes to battle, right? Maybe just a really strong or rare Pokemon would be good enough. Tough types hang around Victory Road and Mt. Silver, right?

He definitely started collecting some of the badges. Though I don't know if he still battles a lot, what with FCAB and all.

Maybe a Pokemon that could help him there? Like, Sticky is great at baking because of his nose. We've even made cookies and stuff for FCAB before.

That might work! I don't think there are any Slurpuffs to be found on Mt Silver, but there might be something else that will work just as well.
