Is everyone from before still with you? [That group is constantly evolving! It's tough for Kazuki to keep track of.] I'd like to know how many people might be coming so I can make sure there's enough food for them all.

Goldenrod sounds good. It's probably the easiest city to travel to.

[There's a moment where Dimitri just.... stares into space. Kazuki isn't the only one having trouble keeping track of the group.]

There are... a few more of us now. [He sounds mildly dazed at this realization.] And I have invited a few other people, although I do not know who will accept it.

Still, I won't let you take all the work upon yourself. I also plan on bringing food. Although... Are there traditional foods one normally eats at hanami? [Better said, that time.]

[Kazuki has to swallow a laugh at Dimirtri's expression. The 1000 yard stare is real.] You look like you've been really busy lately.

Since it's for the cherry blossom trees back home, treats with sakura petals in them, or just cherries, are pretty common. That and alcohol, if you're old enough.

It... has been a very tiring end of the month. I will tell you about it when I write my letter to you, once we arrive in Olivine.

[He'll feel less inclined to lay face first on the floor if he's writing a letter.]

I have never made anything with sakura petals in them... But I imagine cherries will be easy enough. Hopefully they will be to your liking.

Okay. [That was an admission, and for now, that was enough for Kazuki. He could tell that Dimitri was aware of what was troubling him, and just wanted some time to gather himself.] Let me know if you need to talk about anything.

Honestly, I think they're just used to make things look pretty. They have a smell more than they have a taste, you know? If you want something tasty, cherries would be the better bet.

[It is a rather lot to just dump on someone, however... Well, he will decide when they make it to Olivine.]

In that case... I may want to try making them for my own sake. I rather like the aroma of a dish, you see. Aroma and texture.

Oh! Well, then maybe you should give it a try! I've had things like mochi or daifuku with sakura in them, which are a lot more about texture than taste.

Mochi and daifuku... I will be sure to look up those recipes when we arrive in Olivine. Perhaps if my efforts turn out well, I will make some for hanami.

That reminds me... I do not know if you are unfamiliar with Jane Crocker, but she said she would attempt to make some foods as well for this. Things such as rice balls, and the, ah, egg rolls that are popular here.

Oh yeah! Jane is a buddy of mine. She's really good at cooking-- especially baking, so I'm sure it'll be good. So she's invited too?

Yes. I have invited, ah... There is Scorpia and Jane, of course, but also... Zuke and Geralt have been people I have invited, although I do not know if they will have time...

And of course, the others will be invited as well, but I do not know if they will come. They may prefer to stay in Olivine, to relax and... decompress after a busy month.

It sounds like it's gonna be a real party! [Because that's like, literally everyone Kazuki knows!] Even if only half the people you invited show up.

Well, it was starting to feel as though I was only going to keep inviting people, with how it was starting to turn out... so I thought I may as well commit before I stumbled into it accidentally.
