The pod does the raising. I keep an eye on them, of course, and help out if needed, but I want them to have an upbringing as close to that of a wild Lapras as possible. After all, the goal is to get them integrated into wild pods, and they need to know how to live like a Lapras.
It doesn't happen as much to me anymore since I cut my hair. But Shiro found out this the hard way the last time he helped me hatch some of my babies. I guess that longer tuft of hair is just irresistible to them.
Well, mine is blond and that never stopped them until I cut it. I think it's just that they don't really understand what hair is. It's not like they have any themselves. That and they are babies. Everything is new and confusing for them. They've definitely tried eating my bag and notebooks before too.
Well, you don't strike me as the type to be overbearing, so probably cool.
[Not that Armin knows a lot about talking to dads, cool or otherwise. But Jean had often complained about his mother's overbearing nature and cited it as a reason for not returning her many, many letters.
Of course, the Jean back then had had his head still firmly lodged in his ass and had often failed to garner any sympathy for his plight, mainly on account of complaining to people who didn't even have parents anymore. For someone who could be very sharp, Jean had often also been pretty dumb back then.]
[If Armin ever told Kazuki that he was an orphan, it wasn't something that he considered when he spoke to him. Which might bite him in the ass someday, but for now, things seemed okay.]
Cool enough that he likes to stay with me most of the time. I guess that's an accomplishment, right?
[Shimizu had frequent visits with Armin's pod, but he seemed to like being Kazuki's Pokemon more than that. Maybe it was because he knew he had all the freedom he wanted?]
